As we look to transform connectivity, NXTCOMM has assembled a unique team of industry veterans with the right experience and market knowledge to realize our mission to bring proven, affordable connectivity technology and services to broadband mobility markets -unlocking true value.
Here's a snapshot of our team and what they are most excited about being part of NXTCOMM's journey.

Dave brings more than two decades of experience in equipment manufacturing in the aerospace and satellite industries, working for industry leaders such as Panasonic, TECOM Industries, ORBIT Communication Systems and EMS Technologies, now part of Honeywell.
Most recently, Dave oversaw connectivity and antenna technology strategy for Panasonic Avionics’ Global Communications Services. He also held senior leadership roles in general management and business development strategy and technology for TECOM Industries, which manufactured antennas for Global Eagle Entertainment. While at EMS Technologies, he oversaw antenna sales for LiveTV and Panasonic Avionics, including Panasonic's $150M investment into the first-ever IFC broadband antenna for commercial aero use.

Tim led commercialization of advanced phased array antenna solutions for the 5G and mobility marketplace as a principal at Widelity, and prior to that role, built successful businesses both for the B2B supply chain and in wireless content delivery. In addition, he directed global payments and retail enterprise software product strategy for Microsoft Dynamics.Leading up to Microsoft, he served Bank of America/Montgomery Securities and led over $200MM in investment banking, venture finance, M&A and vertical market roll-up activities.
Earlier in his career with the intelligence community, Tim led classified satellite development programs for the Central Intelligence Agency, Directorate of Science and Technology (DST), Office of Development and Engineering (OD&E).

A 20-year satellite antenna technology veteran, Carl oversees product engineering, design and test development for NXTCOMM’s line of advanced electronically steered antennas. He most recently served as VP of Product Management, Intellian Technologies, where he led development of Intellian’s tri-band, multi-orbit maritime VSAT antenna system with ground-breaking antenna technology.
At Kymeta, Carl led product engineering and design for flat panel ESA antennas for the mobile marketplace. Previously Carl oversaw maritime connectivity solutions product development at Panasonic and led sales and engineering efforts at Harris CapRock Communications, ComSat Mobile Communications and Sealink / Telenor Satellite Services.

Mitch’s nearly three-decade finance career has spanned a variety of for-profit and not-for-profit entities. He began his accounting career at Ernst & Young in 1989, where he audited financial operations for a diverse range of clients in the airline, manufacturing, insurance, banking and healthcare industries.
Most recently, he served as Founder and CEO of The Ampersand Company, LLC., leading client development and growth strategies. As CFO of Atlanta-based In Touch Ministries, Inc., Mitch led the organization to a 37% increase in total revenue by creating a results-oriented culture.

With more than four decades of experience in RF Microwave and Power electronics design and manufacturing, Gene has delivered superior outcomes leading growth, transformation, integration, and innovation for high-tech electronics businesses. Gene is the former President/COB of TECOM Industries Incorporated, a SMITHS Group Interconnect Company. He previously served as SVP/GM for Cobham Defense Electronics Systems, VP/GM for Crane Aerospace, and President for Signal Technology Corporation.

A satellite sector veteran, Scott Zimmer was an early executive of the EchoStar group of companies, where he launched EchoStar International Corp, serving as its president for a decade and overseeing the launch of EchoStar’s first satellite in China. He’s advised Charlie Ergen, chairman of EchoStar Communications Corp. and The Dish Network, as well as a host of international technology firms.

Steve brings 20 years’ experience to the aviation and satcom industry, having served in executive positions at several leading communications firms. Recent roles included serving as VP of the Defence and Aftermarket business for Gastops and as VP of Business Development for FLYHT Aerospace Solutions, Ltd., an Iridium provider of real-time insights into aircraft performance. As Chief Commercial Officer at TrueNorth Avionics (now owned by Satcom Direct), Steve oversaw business development, sales, marketing and product management.
Steve also was CEO of Mission Mobility, LLC., a leading provider of rugged network solutions, serving the needs of warfighters for mission-critical communications. At EMS Technologies (now part of Honeywell) he held roles of General Manager of LXE and VP of Satcom Sales for the firm’s SATCOM Division in Ottawa.
